Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

(96-h) EC50: >3100 mg/L growth rate Desmodesmus subspicatus, reliability 2
NOEC: ≥100 mg/L growth rate Desmodesmus subspicatus, reliability 2

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

A 96-h EC50 value of >100 mg/l has been determined for the effects of the test substance on algal biomass and growth. A 96-h NOEC value of ≥100 mg/l has also been determined. The substance has a half-life of 22-h, the test media preparation involved a 24 h settling period and the study was conducted under a static regime. Therefore the organisms were exposed to predominantly to the hydrolysis product. This study has been chosen as key becasue it is a more recent study and greater care has been taken in the test media preparation.

A supporting study has determined 72-hour EC50 value of >36 mg/L and NOEC of ≥36 mg/L with Desmodesmus subspicatus (tested as Scenedesmus subspicatus).
