Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets
Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

First-aid measures
Ingestion: wash out mouth with water and obtain medical attention
Inhalation: move exposed subject to fresh air ensuring ones own safety, keep at rest and warm and obtain medical attention in cases of known exposure and if symptoms of chest pain, difficulty breathing, loss of consciousness or other adverse effects which may be delayed.
Skin contact: wash immediately with copious amounts of water for upto 15mins, remove all contaminated clothing, which should be bagged and retained for disposal or decontamination. Obtain medical attention if skin reaction occurs, which may be immediate or delayed.
Eye contact: Wash immediately with copious amounts of clean, free flowing water for at least 15 minutes and obtain medical attention. Due to potential for acute or delayed eye damage, consider referral to an opthalmologist.
Fire-fighting measures
Hazards: This material is non-combustible but dust clouds are potentially of high sensitivity to ignition from incendive electrostatic discharges.
Self contained breathing apparatus and full protective equipment is strongly recommended for firefighters before taking any action due to toxic, corrosive or flammable nature of vapours that may be evolved from fires involving this material.
Ensure water from firefighting is contained and not released to the environment.
Accidental release measures
Environmental Precaution: Do not allow this material to enter surface drainage, sewers and poorly ventilated areas. Do not allow substance to enter the soil, natural bodies of water, rivers, sewers or water purification plants. Contain spillage in bunding and transfer material to sealable, labelled containers for recovery or disposal, avoid raising dust. After all solid or absorbant material has been collected then wash down area retaining washings as contaminated waste for disposal.
Handling and storage
Avoid dispersion as a dust cloud, use of appropriate exhaust ventilation is recommended to provide routine control of fire and explosion hazards during handling of this material. Keep containers tightly closed and away from moisture and sources of ignition.

Exposure controls / personal protection
Wear safety glasses with side shields or goggles where eye contact is possible. Gloves, boots and protective clothing must be worn to prevent skin contact. Local exhaust ventilation must be provided.
Stability and reactivity
Avoid direct sunlight and conditions that may generate heat and dispersion as a dust cloud. Ensure electrical equipment is not a source of electrostatic charge.
Disposal considerations
Recommended method of disposal is incineration and should be disposed of either at an on-site incinerator or via a licenced commercial chemical incinerator.
