First-aid measures

Skin contact: Wash off immediately with plenty of water. Take all contaminated clothing off immediately. Seek medical advice if irritation develops.

Eye contact: Immediately flush with large quantities of clean water for at least 15 minutes.

Inhalation: Move affected person to fresh air. In case of respiratory system or mucous membranes irritation, or if you feel unwell or in case of prolonged exposure, get medical attention.

Ingestion: Don't induce vomiting beacuse of risk of aspriation into the lungs.

Fire-fighting measures

Suitable extingusishing media: Water spray, foam, carbon dioxide or dry chemical agents.

Extinguishing media which must not be used for safety reasons: Do not use a straight stream of water.

Special protective equipment for fire-fighters: Use self-contained breathing apparatus and full protective clothing for chemicals.

Special exposure hazards arising from the substance or mixture itself, combustion products, resulting gases: Smoke, fumes, oxides of carbon, oxides of phosphorus, nitrogen oxides.

Accidental release measures

Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures: Clean-up personnel should wear protective clothing and equipment to prevent inhalation of dust and skin and eye contact. Remove all sources of ignition.

Environmental precautions: Do not allow to enter public sewers and watercourses.

Methods and material for containment and cleaning up: Use mechanical handling equipment. Collect the spilled product into suitable containers, which must be tightly sealed. Avoid raising dust.

Handling and storage

Precautions for safe handling: Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Avoid ingestion and inhalation. Use with adequate ventilation. Avoid dust formation and ignition sources. Wash thouroughly after handling. Remove contaminated clothing and wash before reuse.

Conditions for safe storage: Store away from heat, moisture, oxidising agents, peroxides and water. Keep container tightly closed.

Exposure controls / personal protection

Exposure limit values: proposed 8-hour TWA: 0.3 mg/m3 and 15 minute STEL 0.9 mg/m3

Exposure Controls

Occupational exposure controls: Where this material is not used in a closed system, good enclosure, enhanced general ventilation and local exhaust ventilation has to be implemented to control exposure.

Personal protective equipment:

Respiratory protection: wear an appropriate respirator.

Dermal protection: Chemical protection suits and gloves, closed footwear.

Eye protection: Safety glasses or splash goggles. Contact lenses should not be worn.

Environmental exposure controls: collect all waste of the substance separately and dispose off in accordance with national and local regulations.

Stability and reactivity

Conditions to avoid: Keep away from heat, moisture and static discharges.

Materials to avoid: Keep away from oxidising agents, peroxides and strong acid.

Hazardous decomposition products: Decomposition products may include oxides of carbon, phosphorus and nitrogen.

Disposal considerations

Collect all waste of the substance separately and dispose off in accordance with national and local regulations.
