- Conclusions:
- The substance was tested for toxicity to aquatic algae following OECD 201. Under the experimental conditions the IC50(72h) = 3.4 mg/l of active material.
- Executive summary:
The substance has been tested for acute toxicity on algae according to the OECD guideline 201 (1984) and Royal Decree 363/1995 (BOE no. 133 of June 1995).
For determination of cell growth inhibition freshwater of Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata (formerly Selenastrum capricornutum) has been used. The alga has been subjected to the substance at the test concentrations of 0.1mg/l, 0.32 mg/l, 1 mg/l, 3.2 mg/l,10 mg /l, 32 mg/l and 90 mg/l of active ingredient. The total test duration was 72 hours.
The result obtained in this test indicates that the dye had an IC 50 value (72h) equal to 3.4 mg/l of active material (nominal).
Conclusion
IC50(72h) = 3.4 mg/l
