Results and discussion

Clinical signs:
Two independent cases of severe eye iritation were mentioned in the report of IG Farben Industrie AG. In the first case, the report of the "color Abteilung, Ludwigshafen" to IG Farben Industrie Ag, dated 1941 -02 -06, detailed the occurrence of severe eye inflammations of 3 individuals in Firma Zoellner-Werke GmbH). In another report dated 1941 -02 -10, the "color Abteilung, Ludwigshafen" reported severe eye irritations in workers of the Firm "Lechler und Sohn, Stuttgart, Feuerbach" involved in the production of paint as well as in some end comsumers.
