Executive summary:

Determination of ready biodegradability: CO2 evolution test with Everzol Orange ED-G Crude. The concentration of Everzol Orange ED-G was 51 mg/l. The test substance was added to duplicate test bottles and the toxicity control.

The relative degradation values calculated from the measurements performed during the test revealed 19 and 8% degradation of Everzol Orange ED-G Crude, for the duplicate bottles tested. Thus, the criterion for ready biodegradability (at least 60% biodegradation within a 10-day window) was no met. In the toxicity control, Everzol Orange ED-G crude was found not to inhibit microbial activity.

In conclusion, Everzol Orange ED-G Crude is not readily biodegradable.

Description of key information
