Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

PBT assessment: overall result

Reference
Name:
Everzol Orange ED-G Crude
Type of composition:
legal entity composition of the substance
State / form:
solid: particulate/powder
Reference substance:
Everzol Orange ED-G Crude
PBT status:
the substance is not PBT / vPvB
Justification:

Based on the ready biodegradation test (Desmares-Koopmans, 2008), the test substance is not readily biodegradable. However, the half-life time of the hydrolysis is 2 days at pH7. Hence, it is considered potential P based on the result. Further information would be required to conclude the P criterion.

The substance is assessed as not ‘B’ based on the high solubility in water and low partition coefficient. In addition, there is no evidence that this class of substance will readily absorb across membranes. The molecular weight of over 800 makes it unlikely that there will be much absorption through membranes.

The acute no-observed effect concentration value (2.2 mg/l) and L(E)C 50 (100 mg/l) are higher than the screening criteria L(E)C 50 0.01 mg/l. Moreover, the substance does not have CRM characters based on the available data. Therefore, the T property is not met.
