Any other information on results incl. tables
The measured surface tension of pure water at 20°C was determined to be 71.5 mN/m. The literature at this temperature is 72.75 mN/m, and therefore the calibration factor was determined to be 1.02.
Table: Measurement of surface tension of MCPA-2EH water solution (concentration of test item is 90% of the saturation solubility) at 20oC:

After application of the calibration factor, the mean result was71.6 mN/m at 20oC.
Applicant's summary and conclusion
- Conclusions:
- The surface tension at 20 °C of MCPA-2EH was determined to be 71.6 mN/m at 90% aqueous saturation.
- Executive summary:
A study was conducted according to EEC A.5: 1.6.4. OECD harmonized ring method, to determine the surface tension of the aqueous solution of the test item. Therefore, a saturated solution of the test substance in distilled water was prepared at 90% aqueous saturation. The solution was measured at the test temperature (20°C). The surface tension of MCPA-2EH was determined to be 71.6 mN/m at 90% aqueous saturation at 20 °C.
