Conclusion on Classification

Data on the short term toxicity of the substance to aquatic organisms are available for two trophic levels (aquatic invertebrates and microalgae) and no toxic effects were identified. Furthermore, the substance shows no long term toxic effects to algae and is ready biodegradable. Therefore, Diammonium oxalate is not classified and labelled for environmental hazards according to the consolidated version of Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 and further amendments (ATPs).
