The density of 4,4'-carbonimidoylbis(N,N-diethylaniline) monohydrochloride (CAS No.6358-36-7)was determined following OECD Guideline 109 and according to the Adapted from ASTM D854-02 using galss pyknometer. The mean density of test item 4,4'-carbonimidoylbis(N,N-diethylaniline) monohydrochloride  was determined to be0.7207 g/cm³ at 20°C and 971.7 hPa.

Particle Size Distribution:

The particle size distribution of test item 4,4'-carbonimidoylbis[N,N-diethylaniline] monohydrochloride (CAS No. 6358-36-7 ) was determined by granulometric analysis with rotap sieve shaker. The particle size distribution was determined to be in the range of 150 micron to 10 micron

Vapour Pressure:

MPBPVP v1.43 was used to estimate the vapour pressure of Benzenamine, 4,4'-carbonimidoylbis(N,N-diethyl-, hydrochloride (1:1) [Basic Yellow 37]. Modified Grain method was used to estimate the value. The estimated vapor pressure of Benzenamine, 4,4'-carbonimidoylbis(N,N-diethyl-, hydrochloride (1:1) [Basic Yellow 37] was 1.13E-012 mm Hg = 1.5E-010 Paat 25 deg C.

Partition Coefficient:

The partition coefficient(n-octanol/water) of test substance 4,4'-carbonimidoylbis[N,N-diethylaniline] monohydrochloride (CAS No. 6358-36-7)was determined as per the HPLC method (OECD Guideline-117). The Log Pow value was found to be 1.757 ± 0.002 at 25°C.

Water Solubility:

The water solubility determination of test item 4,4'-carbonimidoylbis[N,N-diethylaniline] monohydrochloride (CAS No. 6358-36- 7) was done as per the OECD guideline 105 and by spectrophotometric analytical method as per OECD 101. The solubility of 4,4'-carbonimidoylbis[N,N-diethylaniline] monohydrochloride [CAS: 6358-36-7] in water was determined to be 1531.4 mg/L at 30°C.

This value suggests that 4,4'-carbonimidoylbis[N,N-diethylaniline] monohydrochloride was soluble in water.

Surface tension:

In accordance with column 2 of Annex VII of the REACH regulation, the study need only be conducted if surface activity is a desired property of the chemical. The 4,4'-carbonimidoylbis(N,N-diethylaniline) hydrochloride

(6358-36-7) is used as a dye. For this use, surface activity is not an important property. Hence this study was considered for waiver.

Flash point:

The flash point determination of 4,4'-carbonimidoylbis[N,N-diethylaniline] monohydrochloride (CAS No. 6358-36-7)was done following closed cup method using Pensky-Martens flash point apparatus. The test was conducted in replicates and mean flash point was found to be 217.6°C at 971.6hPa. Based on criteria mentioned in CLP regulation the chemical has flash point >than 60 degree C hence the substance was considered to be non-flammable.

Autoflammability:

4,4'-carbonimidoylbis(N,N-diethylaniline) hydrochloride did not catch fire on being exposed to air at room temperature of 27°Cpressure of 966 hPa. This indicates that 4,4'-carbonimidoylbis(N,N-diethylaniline) hydrochloride is not auto-flammable.

Flammability:

4,4'-carbonimidoylbis(N,N-diethylaniline, hydrochloride  does not indicate any ignition when the flame of bunsen burner having temperature of approximately 950°C is brought in contact with it. Thus it can be concluded that 4,4'-carbonimidoylbis(N,N-diethyl-, hydrochloride  is not flammable at high temperature. However since such high temperatures are not found under normal circumstances of transportation and use, thus 4,4'-carbonimidoylbis(N,N-diethyl-, hydrochloride was considered non-flammable for chemical safety assessment.

Explosiveness:

The study does not need to be conducted because there are no chemical groups present in the molecule which are associated with explosive properties

Oxidising properties:

The study does not need to be conducted because there are no chemical groups present in the molecule which are associated with oxidising properties and hence, the classification procedure does not need to be applied

pH:

The pH determination of test item 4,4'-carbonimidoylbis[N,N-diethylaniline] monohydrochloride (CAS No 6358-36-7) was done following OECD guideline 122. pH of 1% w/v dispersion was measured with the help of pH meter and it was observed to be 5.79at 29 °C.

Viscosity

The study does not need to be conducted because the substance is a solid
