Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

- Flammability: Key study. EU Method A.10, with GLP. The test substance is not flammable.
- Pyrophoric properties: Data waiving (other justification). Practical experience in manufacture and handling shows that the substance does not ignite spontaneously on coming into contact with air at normal temperatures.
- Flammability in contact with water (other justification): The substance is not classified as flammable in contact with water based on the chemical structure and the experience in handling / use which shows that the substance does not react with water.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Flammability:
non flammable

Additional information

Key study: The study of flammability was performed according to EU Method A.10, with GLP. The test substance is not flammable according with test A.10. criteria.

Pyrophoric properties: Data waiving (other justification): The test was not performed experimentally because practical experience, in manufacture and handling shows that the substance does not ignite spontaneously on coming into contact with air at normal temperatures. Therefore, the substance is not classified as pyrophoric.

Flammability in contact with water (other justification): The substance is not classified as flammable in contact with water based on the chemical structure and the experience in handling / use which shows that the substance does not react with water.

Justification for classification or non-classification

The test substance is considered to be non-flammable according to test results, and, based on experience on handling and use, it is considered that the substance is stable, not spontaneously flammable, does not emit flammable gases in contact with water, and does not spontaneously ignite when exposed to air. Therefore, the substance is not classified in accordance with CLP Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008.
