Method for Determination of Density

of Liquids (First Revision)

Principle of method

Determination of the mass at a given

temperature of a volume of the material contained in a density bottle (pyknometer) and determination of

the volume of the latter by determining the mass of the corresponding volume of water at the same temperature. The density is obtained by dividing the mass of material by its volume.
