- EPISKIN(TM) reconstructed human epidermis was treated for a period of 15 minutes, followed by an incubation period of 42 hours. Cell viability was measured colorimetrically by the enzymatic reduction of yellow MTT tetrazolium salt.

- The test item was considered to be non-irritant. Together with the results from other saturated perfluorocarbons, we can be confident octafluoropropane is not irritating.
