Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Endpoint:
vapour pressure
Data waiving:
study technically not feasible
Justification for data waiving:
vapour pressure testing is not required because the standard boiling point is < 30 ºC, as this substance will have a vapour pressure value above the limit of measurement (i.e. 10E+05 Pa)

Description of key information

Measurement of the vapour pressure of guanidine nitrate is not possible at normal conditions.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Vapour pressure:
0 Pa
at the temperature of:
25 °C

Additional information

According to REACH regulation (Annex XI, 2.), the vapour pressure does not need to be determined if the measurement is technically not feasible due to the substance properties. Guanidinium nitrate represents a ionic solid at standard conditions (20°C, 1013 hPa), therefore a very low vapour pressure is to be expected. However, to enable functionalities within Chesar v.3.2, vapour pressure was set to the minimum value allowed by the implemented EUSES program, i.e. to >1E-06
