Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Key result
Type:
log Koc
Value:
ca. 3
Temp.:
25 °C

A calibration plot of log10k versus log10Koc was constructed for the reference standards. The logarithm of the capacity factor for the test substance was then calculated and the log10Koc value determined by interpolation. Ferrocene was thus determined to have a log10Koc value of 3.0 (equivalent Koc value = 1050)

Validity criteria fulfilled:
yes
Conclusions:
Ferrocene was determined to have a log10Koc value of 3.0 (equivalent Koc value = 1050).

Description of key information

In a study performed in OECD 121, Ferrocene was determined to have a log10Koc value of 3.0 (equivalent Koc value = 1050)

Key value for chemical safety assessment
