Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

PNEC Freshwater and marine sediment:

Ksusp-water = 3.16

RHOsusp = 1150

PNEC_freshwater sed. = (K_susp-water / RHO_susp) * PNEC_water * 1000

= (3.16 / 1150) * 0.0857 * 1000

= 0.2355 mg/kg wwt

= 1.083 mg/kg dwt

PNEC_marine sediment = (K_susp-water / RHO_susp) * PNEC_marine water * 1000

= (3.16 / 1150) * 0.00857 * 1000

= 0.02355 mg/kg wwt

= 0.1083 mg/kg dwt

PNEC soil:

Ksoil-water = 3.6

RHOsusp = 1700

PNECsoil = (K_soil-water / RHO_susp) * PNEC_water * 1000

= (3.6 / 1700) * 0.0857 * 1000

= 0.1815 mg/kg wwt

= 0.2051 mg/kg dwt

Conclusion on classification

Acute toxicity:

Fish is the most sensitive species to the acute toxic effects of the test item with an acute LC50 of 85.7 mg/L. Based on the these data, the substance has not to be classified with regard to short-term (acute) environmental toxicity according to Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 (CLP/GHS), as amended for the tenth time in Regulation (EC) 2017/776.

Chronic toxicity:

Only one long-term test is available - toxicity to algae. Based on the fact that the test item is not readily biodegradable and the obtained results from the aquatic tests, the substance is classified as Long-term (Chronic) Environmental Toxic Category 3 (H412: Harmful to aquatic life with long lasting effects.) according to Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 (CLP/GHS), as amended for the tenth time in Regulation (EC) 2017/776.
