In accordance with column 2 of REACH Annex IX, a bioaccumulation test in aquatic species (required in section 9.3.2) does not need to be conducted as Olaflur has a low potential for bioaccumulation in the aquatic or the terrestrial compartment. Furthermore, the substance can be classified as ready biodegradable.
As shown in IUCLID section 4.7 the log Pow was estimated to be 1.94 indicating that the test substance has no potential for bioaccumulation. This is supported by the result obtained using the estimation program BCFBAF v.3.00, part of EPIWIN, for BCF calculation. On basis of the log Pow (1.94) a BCF of 8.851 L/kg was calculated. Hence, no further information concerning bioconcentration or bioaccumulation is required.
