Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

No data on the toxicity of KDDC (CAS No. 128-03-0) to terrestrial plants were available. Therefore, a conclusion about this endpoint had to be drawn based on toxicity data from an analogue substance. The effects of ziram (CAS No. 137-30-4) on terrestrial plants were investigated by Porch and Krueger (2006a, 2006b). Both tests were conducted according to the EPA OPP 122-1 Guideline (Terrestrial Plant Toxicity Tier I), investigating the effect of this substance in seedling emergence and vegetative vigour respectively, under GLP conditions. No significant adverse effects were observed in any test after 21 days exposure at a concentration of 9 kg/ha (6.89 kg a.i./ha).

Long-term toxicity testing is not deemed necessary considering the low adsorption potential of KDDC, the fact that is readily biodegradable and the absence of toxic effects in the short-term studies performed with the analogue substance, ziram.
