Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

Diethylaminopropylamine (DEAPA) toxicity to Pseudomonas putida has been investigated according to DIN 38412, part 8 (BASF, 1987). EC50_17h (growth inhibition) was determined to be 100.5 mg/L. In addition, DEAPA toxicity to microorganisms has been investigated according to OECD TG 209 (BASF, 2009). EC50 was determined to be higher than 1000 mg/L but the test solutions were neutralised. The result of the study suggests that the toxicity of DEAPA to microorganisms is related to the increase of the medium pH but not to a specific mode of toxic action.
