Description of key information

The available biodegradation studies indicate that the substance is not readily biodegradable according to OECD criteria (4 - 16%). Experimental information on the abiotic degradation of the test substance is not available. As no hydrolysable functional groups are present in the test substance, degradation via abiotic hydrolysis is not considered to be a relevant degradation pathway in the environment.

Considering the water solubility of 265.8 mg/L, the low to moderate potential for adsorption to organic soil and sediment particles (log Koc = 2.7) and the low Henry’s Law Constant (1.88 Pa m³/mole), the main compartment for environmental distribution is expected to be the surface water.
