Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

AAA reaction product is a complex mixture of monomers, dimers, trimers and polymers plus water. AAA reaction product is 100% used industrially in a closed system in the production of mineral wool products During production of the mineral wool products the substance is cured to a three-dimensional polymeric network and the anticipated concentration of notified substance in notifier’s product is 0%. Furthermore the substance will be polymerized and consumed during the production of end products and will not exist as such in end-use products. During production of the AAA reaction product and use the in mineral wool products there will be no environmental impact as all processesses are contained. In terms of waste water from reaction, the only source of wastewater is the water used for cleaning the reactor after production of the substance. This water will, however, be used to dilute the substance, hence there will be no emission to the public sewer. Further, exposure to the environment from chemical waste is not expected as this will be disposed off internally at the manufacturing plant. Emission to the air during reaction is also considered to be very limited. The reaction takes place in a closed reactor with airing through a small duct. There is no mechanical exhaust, and the duct only functions as a hyper pressure vent. Overall, no effluent and emission is expected to be released to the environment.
