Stability in organic solvents and identity of relevant degradation products

Description of key information
The substance has very often been dissolved in organic solvents for study purposes, and no critical stability issues have occurred. As a consequence and according to REACH (Directive No 1907/2006 (EC), Official Journal of the European Union L 396/346, Column 2) this test is not required.
Additional information
The key information is supported by handbook data indicating that L-menthol is soluble respectively very soluble in many different organic sovents (alcohols, ethers, chlorinated solvents, hydrocarbons and organic acids) whereas for none of the solvent degradation has been reported.
