The biodegradability of the test substance has been determined in three different studies, two of which showed that the substance is readily biodegradable. It is concluded that the substance should be classified as readily biodegradable fulfilling the 10-day window as consistent positive test results supersede negative test results.
The first study is an OECD 301 F study at a concentration of 100 mg/L with a biodegradability of 81% after 28 days fulfilling the 10-day window. The second study is an OECD 301 B test at a concentration of 10 mg/L with a biodegradability of 92% after 28 days and 75.8% at the end of the 10-day window. The third study conducted according to OECD 301 D showed only 40% degradation after 28 days. As the first two studies are consistent and reliable their positive results are taken into account for the ready biodegradability of the substance.
No additional information on the biodegradability of the substance in water, sediment or soil is available. The substance is considered to be non-persistent in the environment due to its ready biodegradability in water.
