Additional information

Results from acute toxicity studies covering all three trophic levels are available (fish, tadpoles, aquatic invertebrates and algae). Ethylene urea caused no toxic effect on aquatic organisms up to 100 mg/L and even beyond. Therefore, the substance is with high probability acutely not harmful to aquatic organisms.

No data on long-term toxicity on fish and Daphnia are available. The hazard assessment of ethylene urea reveals neither a need to classify the substance as dangerous for the environment, nor is it a PBT or vPvB substance. Therefore, long-term toxicity studies in fish and Daphnia are not provided.
