Based on the results from the hydrolysis tests conducted with methyldiacetoxyisopropoxy silane (CAS No. 329039-38-5) this substance can be considered hydrolytically unstable (half-life < 4 hours). The vapour pressure value reported for methyldiacetoxyisopropoxy silane (199 Pa at 25 °C) indicates that the substance shows potential for volatilization into air. Nevertheless, once in the atmosphere it is expected to undergo indirect photodegradation (by reaction with OH radicals), with an estimated half-life of 31 hours (AOPWIN v1.92).
