The substance is readily biodegradable and therefore based on initial persistence screening is not expected to meet the Persistent (P) or very Persistent (vP) criteria.
The estimated BCF for isodecyl benzoate is 136 L/kg. Isodecyl benzoate is structurally similar to di-isodecyl phthalate (DIDP), and can be expected to be metabolized at a similar rate. The BCF for DIDP was 1 L/kg. Thus, calculated and read-across data indicate that isodecyl benzoate does not meet the Bioaccumulative (B) or very Bioaccumulative (vB) criteria.
