20 °C
pH:
7.2
Details on results:
The n-octanol solubility of the test item was determined after the stirring period. The test solution was clear and no undissolved material was observed. It was concluded that the n-octanol solubility of the test item at 20 °C was >5.2 x 10^2 g/L.

The water solubility of the test item at 20 °C was 0.134 mg/L.

The estimation method was applied to calculate the partition coefficient (n-octanol/water) as the quotient of the n-octanol solubility and of the water solubility. The Pow value of the test item was calculated to be >3.87 x 10^6. It corresponds with a log Pow value of >6.6.
Conclusions:
The estimation method was applied to calculate the partition coefficient (n-octanol/water) as the quotient of the n-octanol solubility (>5.2 x 10^2 g/L at 20 °C) and of the water solubility (0.134 mg/L at 20 °C). The Pow value of the test item was calculated to be >3.87 x 10^6. It corresponds with a log Pow value of >6.6.
Executive summary:

The study was performed based on procedures in the OECD Guideline 107 (Partition Coefficient (n-octanol/water), Shake Flask Method); EU Method A.8 (Partition Coefficient - Shake Flask Method); EPA OPPTS 830.7550 (Partition Coefficient, n-octanol/H2O, Shake Flask Method). The test item is a mixture of compounds and based on the composition of the test item, surface activity is expected and therefore the partition coefficient was estimated from the water solubility and the n-octanol solubility. The estimation method was applied to calculate the partition coefficient (n-octanol/water) as the quotient of the n-octanol solubility (>5.2 x 102 g/L at 20 °C) and of the water solubility (0.134 mg/L at 20 °C). The Pow value of the test item was calculated to be >3.87 x 106. It corresponds with a log Pow value of >6.6.
