- Details on test solutions:
- PREPARATION AND APPLICATION OF TEST SOLUTION (especially for difficult test substances)
The stock solution of 100 mg/L was prepared with dilution water and shaken with 20 rpm for 48 h at room temperature. After a
separation phase of 1 h the water accomodated fraction (WAF) was taken from the homogenous liquid phase.

Test conditions
- Test temperature:
- Nominal range: 21 — 24 °C, controlled at ± 2 °C
- pH:
- 7.62 - 8.53
- Nominal and measured concentrations:
- A water accommodated fraction (WAF) of 100 mg/L was prepared. Per definition of the WAF all terms related to concentration levels will be given as loading levels because partly dissolved compounds and mixtures cannot be related to concentrations. One loading level of 100 mg/L was tested in a limit test.

Applicant's summary and conclusion
- Validity criteria fulfilled:
- yes
- Conclusions:
- In a study according to OECD test guideline 201 under GLP, the EC50-value of the test substance for algal growth inhibation was determined to be >100mg/l.
- Executive summary:
In a study according to OECD test guideline 201 under GLP the effects of the test substance on the growth of the freshwater green alga Desmodesmus subspicatus were tested. Slight inhibiting effects on the yield and no effects on the specific growth rate were found in the water accommodated fraction of 100 mg/L. The EC50-values for specific growth rate inhibition and inhibition of yield (EyL50) after 72 h were > 100 mg/L.
