Description of key information

Chronic toxicity on Daphnia (ChV) was predictedusingLogKow-based QSARsthat are specific for the chemical class(es) identified for the target compound. The ChV, or Chronic Value, is defined as the geometric mean of the no observed effect concentration (NOEC) and the lowest observed effect concentration (LOEC).Predictions provided by ECOSAR are not supported by a specific parameter for reliability assessment, however a LogKow cut-off equal to 8.0 and a MW cut-off equal to 1000 are used to define the limits of the applicability domain of the model.

ECOSAR assigned the target chemical Tert-Butyl methyl(2-oxopropyl)carbamate to the class of Excess Toxicity “Carbamate Esters”. Based on the neutral organics-acid QSAR equation for the prediction of Daphnia ChV, ECOSAR predicted a chronic toxicity equal to 7.170 mg/L. Tert-Butyl methyl(2-oxopropyl)carbamate is included in the applicability domain of the model since it is characterised by MW (187.24) and LogKow (1.42 estimated) values below the defined thresholds, respectively 1000 and 8.0.
