First-aid measures

General advice:  

Take off all contaminated clothing immediately.

If inhaled:

Remove to fresh air. If symptoms persist, call a physician.

Skin contact:

After contact with skin, wash immediately with plenty of soap and water. If skin reactions occur, contact a physician.

Eye contact:

In the case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice.

Ingestion:

If swallowed, seek medical advice immediately and show this container or label.

Fire-fighting measures

Fire may cause evolution of: Carbon monoxide, Carbon dioxide (CO2), nitrogen oxides (NOx)

Special protective equipment for fire-fighters:

Prevent fire extinguishing water from contaminating surface water or the ground water system.

Accidental release measures

Personal Precautions:

Use personal protective equipment. Avoid dust formation. Keep away from heat and sources of ignition.

Enviromental Precautions:

Do not flush into surface water or sanitary sewer system.

Methods for cleaning or taking up:

Contain spillage, and then collect with an electrically protected vacuum cleaner or by wet-brushing and place in container for disposal according to local regulations.

Handling and storage

This substance is handled under Strictly Controlled Conditions in accordance with REACH regulation Article 17(3) for on-site isolated intermediates and, in case the substance is transported to other sites for further processing, the substance should be handled at these sites under the Strictly Controlled Conditions as specified in REACH regulation Article 18(4). Site documentation to support safe handling arrangements including the selection of engineering, administrative and personal protective equipment controls in accordance with risk-based management systems is available at each manufacturing site. "

 

Written confirmation of application of Strictly Controlled Conditions has been received from every affected Distributor and Downstream Processor/User of the Registrant’s intermediate.

Handling:

Avoid dust formation. Only handle product with local exhaust ventilation. Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothing.

Fire and explosion protection:

Take measures to prevent the build up of electrostatic charge. Keep away from open flames, hot surfaces and sources of ignition.

Storage:

For storage suitable stores with adequate product-reception volume must be used. During handling local official regulations must be observed in

order to avert impairment of water by the product.

Exposure controls / personal protection

Personal protective equipment

Respiratory protection: Full mask with ABEK-P3 filter

Eye protection: safety glasses

Hand protection: protective gloves for chemicals made of Baypren, nitrile rubber or PVC wear. Breakthrough time not tested; dispose of immediately after contamination. Advice: The gloves should not be reused.

Skin and body protection: Wear suitable protective equipment.

Stability and reactivity

Conditions to avoid: Do not expose to temperatures above 40 °C

Materials to avoid: Oxidizing agents

Disposal considerations

During the whole life cycle of the substance all necessary measures in accordance to Art. 18(4) of Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 are undertaken. The substance is handled under strictly controlled conditions. Dispose in accordance with current regulations and, if necessary, after consultation with the site operator and/or with the responsible authority, the product may be taken to a waste disposal site or incineration plant

Product:

Dispose of as hazardous waste in compliance with local and national regulations.

Contaminated packaging:

Contaminated, empty containers are to be treated in the same way as the contents.
