Results and discussion

Any other information on results incl. tables

Initial test

The test substance melted and re-solidified into a brown crystalline solid. There was no ignition and no burning occurred.

Preliminary screening test (train test)

The test substance melted to a black residue, along the train, under heating. There was no ignition and no burning occurred. The test substance residue did ignite briefly after prolonged heating during the 2-minute period but extinguished quickly and no propagation occurred. No burning time could be recorded.

Oxypyrion acetate is therefore not considered to be flammable.

The moisture content was found to be 2,17 %.
