First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove to fresh air, rest and keep warm. In severe cases or

if symptoms persist seek medical attention.

Emergency measure - Eyes: Immediately irrigate the eyes with copious amounts of water

for at least 15 minutes.  Ensure adequate flushing of the

eyes by separating the eyelids with fingers.  If irriation

persists seek medical attention.

Emergency measure - Skin: Immediately wash with copious amounts of water for at least

15 minutes while removing contaminated clothing and shoes.

If irritation persists seek medical attention.

Emergency measure - Ingestion: Wash out mouth with copious amounts of water for at least 15

minutes. Do not induce vomiting, seek medical attention.

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Water spray, carbon dioxide, dry chemical powder, alcohol or

polymer foam.

Product arising from burning: May emit toxic fumes, such as carbon monoxide and carbon

dioxide.

Protective equipment: Wear self-contained breathing apparatus and protective

clothing to prevent contact with the skin and eyes.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Do not allow material to enter drains or watercourses.

Mix with sand or similar inert absorbant material, sweep up

and keep in a closed container for disposal. Arrange

disposal as special waste by a licensed disposal company, in

consultation with local Waste Disposal Authority and in

accordance with national and regional regulations.

Handling: The substance should only be handled by properly qualified

personnel in a suitably ventilated area e.g. efficient fume

hood.  Appropriate engineering controls should be in place

to reduce air contamination and care should be taken to

prevent contact with the skin and eyes.  Contamination of

personal clothing should be avoided.
