Administrative data
First-aid measures
- Inhalation : If adverse effects occur, remove to uncontaminated area. Give artificial respiration if not breathing.
- Skin contact : Wash skin with soap and water for at least 15 minutes. If irritation develops, contact a physician.
- Eye contact : Flush eyes with water for at least 15 minutes. If irritation develops, contact a physician.
- Ingestion : If a large amount is swallowed, get medical attention
- Notes for doctors : Treat symptomatically as required by the condition of the patient.
Fire-fighting measures

- For large fires, use water spray or alcohol-type aqueous film forming foam (AFFF)
Advice for firefighters :
- Evacuate personnel to a safe area, isolate area.
- Fight fire from maximum distance, use extreme caution as heat may decompose material and rupture containers.
- Do not scatter spilled material with high-pressure water streams.
Accidental release measures
1. For non-emergency personnel
- Protective equipment : Use appropriate personal protective equipment
- Emergency procedures : Isolate area. Avoid skin and eye contact.
- Removal of ignition sources : Shut off source of fuel, if possible and without risk.
- Provosion of sufficient ventilation : Ventilate area to avoid inhalation of vapors.
- Control of dust : Formation and accumalation of dust should be controlled with proper ventilation.
2. For emergency responders
- Wear standard fire-fighting bunker gear and complete personal protective equipments when exposed to products of combustion. Cool tank / container with water spray.

- Prevent material from entering sewers, waterways, or low areas. Prevent groundwater contamination.
C) Methods and material for containment and cleaning up
1. Containment technique
- prevent material from entering sewers, waterways or low areas by proper covering of drains.
- Keep container tightly closed after each use.
2. Cleaning up
- For cleaning of dusts/dry powders, use wet cloth/mop to pick up and place in suitable container for disposal. Do not sweep or do not dry sweep as this causes dusting.
Handling and storage
a) Allow safe handling of the substance
- Avoid breathing dust
- Avoid contact with eyes, skin or clothing
- Wash thoroughly after handling, wash contaminated clothing prior to reuse.
b) Prevent handling of incompatible substances
- Do not handle the substance while working with oxidizing agents.
c) Reduce release of the substance to the environment
- Prevent material from entering sewers, waterways or low areas. Prevent groundwater contamination.
d) Advice on general occupational hygiene shall be provided
- Not to eat, drink and smoke in work areas
- Recommended to remove contaminated clothing and equipments before entering eating areas.
B) Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities
a) How to manage risks associated with :
- Explosive atmospheres : Material is not explosive. However avoid formation of dust as dust/air mixtures may ignite or explode.
- Corrosive conditions : The substance is not corrosive in nature to metals
- Flammability hazards : Avoid heat, flames and sparks
- Incompatible substances or mixtures : Store away from incompatible materials
- Evaporative conditions : Not applicable as per the physical state of the substance.
- Potential ignition sources : Store the material away from possible sources of ignition.
b) How to control the effects of :
- Weather conditions : Store in cool place. Keep container tightly closed in a dry and well ventilated area
- Sunlight : The container should be stored away from sunlight
- humidity : The substance should not be exposed to any humid conditions.
