Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets
Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Administrative data
First-aid measures
Emergency measure - Eyes: Rinse with water for 15 minutes, keep eyelids open
Emergency measure - Skin: Wash with soap and water
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Seek medical attention In all cases, remove contaminated
clothing.
Fire-fighting measures
Recommended extinguishing agent: Combustion products may contain carbon, nitrogen and
sulphur oxides together with some soot and hydrogen
chloride gas. Suitable extinguishers are water fog, foam,
carbon dioxide and dry powder.
Accidental release measures
Emergency measures in case of spillage: Sweep up spilt material. Take care to protect the
respiratory tract, use a fine dust mask. Dispose of waste
material by incineration at an approved facility.
Handling and storage
Handling: When handling large amounts, ensure that the work area is
well ventilated and extraction systems are used. A
breathing apparatus should be worn if necessary, especially
when extraction systems are not used.
Storage: Store in closed containers

Stability and reactivity
Danger other than fire: None reported. [UK c.a.: Compounds of this type have been
known to cause respiratory sensitisation. If symptoms are
observed, remove person from exposure and seek medical
attention].
Disposal considerations
Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Recovery for reuse is not possible
Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: Not applicable, no known hazardous effects
Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Not recommended
Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: The substance may be incinerated at an approved facility.
Suitable flue gas purification to remove sulphur and
nitrogen oxides and hydrogen chloride gas should be used.
Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: Not recommended, The substance may be eliminated from water
using suitable absorption agents.
Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Recovery from dyed material is not possible
Public at large - Possibility of neutralisation: Not applicable
Public at large - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Articles dyed with the substance may be disposed of as a
domestic waste. The dyestuff may be eliminated from water
purification systems using suitable absorption agents.
