According to REACh Annex VII / column 2, the study does not need to be conducted if there are no chemical groups associated with explosive properties present in the molecule.
According to Regulation (EC) N°1272/2008 (CLP) criteria and screening procedure (as listed in appendix 6 to the UN Recommendations on the Transport of Dangerous Goods - Manual of Tests and Criteria (6th revised edition, 2015) or in the ECHA endpoint specific guidance on information requirements (R.7a, v6.0, July 2017, §R.7.1.11), NO REACTIVE GROUP was identified in the chemical structure.
Then explosive properties are not anticipated, and the acceptance procedure for Class 1 explosives shall not apply, no further testing is required. - Endpoint:

The explosive properties of test item were tested under GLP, according to EU A.14 guideline.
In the test for thermal sensitivity (Koenen tube), the item burned but no explosion was observed with an orifice of 6 or 2 mm.
In the test for mechanical sensitivity (shock), no explosion was observed using an impact energy of 40 J.
In the test for mechanical sensitivity (friction), no reaction was observed using a load of 360 N.
The test item can be considered as “not explosive under the conditions of guideline EU A.14”.

In the test for thermal sensitivity, the test item burned with a heavily sooting and sparking flame in the test using an orifice of 6 mm after 3 min. In the test with an orifice of 2 mm the test item began to burn after 2 min 30 s. Additionally, a flame fountain was observed.
The test for mechanical sensitivity (friction) yielded a weak greyish line on the porcelain peg in every experiment. According to the national reference institute (BAM, Bundesanstalt für Materialprüfung), this observation is no sign of explosive properties.
The test for mechanical sensitivity (shock) showed no reaction which gave a sign of explosive properties.
Discussion
No signs of an explosive reaction could be observed in any of the tests.
Therefore, the test item is considered as “not explosive under the conditions of guideline EU A.14”.
The guideline does not cover the explosive properties of dust consisting of test item (resp. mixtures of dust and air). Therefore, the result is stated as “under the conditions of guideline EU A.14”.

According to the screening procedure described in Regulation (EC) N°1272/2008 (CLP), the structure of the substance does not contain any chemical group associated with explosive properties.
Therefore, no further testing is required.
Moreover, a supporting experimental study for the determination of explosive properties, with regard to sensitivity towards heat, shock and friction is available. All tests were found negative, but the method (EU A14) was conducted according to previous Directive 67/548/EEC (DSD) classification criteria, so the conclusion cannot be extrapolated to CLP criteria, as the testing strategy and study design differ significantly. Nevertheless the Koenen tube test is common, and the negative result confirms that the substance is not sensitive to heat.
Justification for classification or non-classification
The substance is NOT classified as explosive according to CLP, based on the structural formula, that fulfills the screening procedure criteria.
