Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Administrative data
First-aid measures
Fire-fighting measures
Use water or carbon dioxide.
2. Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture
Do not inhale explosion and combustion gases. Burning produces heavy smoke.
3. Advice for firefighters
Wear positive-pressure self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) and protective fire fighting clothing (includes fire fighting helmet, coat, pants, boots and gloves). Collect contaminated fire extinguishing water separately. This must not be discharged into drains. Move undamaged containers from immediate hazard area if it can be done safely.
Accidental release measures
In case of accidental release of a large volume, clear all personnel from area. Do not breathe vapors. Ventilate area of leak or spill. Wear protective equipment including positive pressure self-contained or air supplied breathing apparatus. Follow confined space entry procedures if applicable, ASTM D-4276 and OSHA 29CFR 1910.146.
2 Environmental precautions
Contain product to prevent contamination of soil, surface water or groundwater. Retain contaminated washing water and dispose it. In case of gas escape or of entry into waterways, soil or drains, inform the responsible authorities. Suitable material for taking up: absorbing material, organic, sand.
3 Methods and material for containment and cleaning up
Wash with plenty of water.
Handling and storage
Avoid contact with skin and eyes, inhalation of vapours and mists. Do not eat or drink while working.
2 Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities
Store at controlled room temperature. Keep container tightly closed in a dry and well-ventilated place.
3 Specific end use(s)
None

Disposal considerations
Storage and disposal must be in accordance with applicable local, state & federal disposal regulations. Characterization and compliance with applicable laws are the responsibility solely of the generator.
