Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

mean hydrodynamic diameter = 1.7 μm

Additional information

The particle size distribution of the substance was evaluated by means of Dynamic Light Scattering (DLS). The powder sample were suspended in water at a concentration of 1 wt %. The suspensions thus obtained were placed in an ice bath and sonicated for 6 minutes using a sonicator with probe applying an intensity of 5 in continuous mode. The samples were left at room temperature for 5 minutes and then the suspension was left to stand for 1 hour (time necessary for the formation of a sediment at the bottom of the vial) after which 1 ml of supernatant was taken, placed in disposable plastic cuvettes and analyzed by DLS.

Mean hydrodynamic diameter = 1.7 μm, Standard deviation = 0.1
