Flash point is > 60 °C (the upper temperature limit for flammable liquids Cat according to Regulation (EC) 1272/2008 of 16 December 2008).
Conclusions:
The flash point of the test item was determined to be 104 °C at 997 hPa.
Executive summary:

EU Method A.9. - The flash point of the test item was determined using a rapid equilibrium closed cup method.  The procedure employed was designed to be compatible with Method A.9. Flash Point of Commission Regulation (EC) No 440/2008 of 30 May 2008.


 


Following a preliminary test to establish an indicative flash point, 4 ml aliquots of test item were added to the apparatus, allowed to thermally equilibrate (120 seconds) and exposed to a 4 mm test flame.  The test was repeated at 1 °C above the highest temperature where no flash was detected in a preliminary test until a flash was observed.  This value was corrected to standard pressure and 0.5 °C subtracted the resulting value was rounded to the nearest 0.5 °C


 


The flash point of the test item was determined to be 104 °C at 1013 hPa.


 


The test item does not need to be categorised in accordance with Commission Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 (Classification Labelling and Packaging) of 16 December 2008.
