Endpoint:
vapour pressure
Type of information:
experimental study
Adequacy of study:
key study
Reliability:
2 (reliable with restrictions)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
guideline study without detailed documentation
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
OECD Guideline 104 (Vapour Pressure Curve)
Deviations:
yes
Remarks:
source of test material not stated; information on test conditions not reported
GLP compliance:
not specified
Type of method:
gas saturation method
Temp.:
25 °C
Vapour pressure:
0.019 Pa
Conclusions:
In the present study report, only limited information on test conditions and results is provided. Although it is stated that the study was performed according to OECD guideline 104, it is not possible to confirm full guideline compliance based on the available information. Using the gas saturation method (OECD 104), a vapour pressure of 0.019 Pa was determined for m-toluic acid.

Description of key information

Vapour pressure of m-toluic acid

- CITI Japan (1999): at 25 °C: 0.019 Pa

- Colomina (1985): at 30.27 °C: 0.0623 Pa; at 40.2 °C: 0.211 Pa; at 50.23 °C: 0.665 Pa

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Vapour pressure:
0.019 Pa
at the temperature of:
25 °C
