Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

No boiling point according to the criteria described in the guideline could be observed up to 300 °C. Instead, signs of decomposition were observed at 265 °C. The atmospheric pressure was 99.53 kPa to 99.35 kPa.

Additional information

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the boiling point of the test item by the capillary method using an electronic controlled heating system, according to the OECD 103 method and following the GLP.

The determination of the boiling point was performed by visual judgement using the capillary method.

In the preliminary tests up to 300 °C the test item changed the colour from dark-red to black. At about 155 °C the test item melted and at 220 °C foam was created. At 265 °C the test item was solid and black. Due to this a decomposition process is suspected. No boiling point as described in the guideline could be observed. A clear normal boiling point, as defined in the guideline with a current stream of bubbles evolving from the capillary, was not observed.
