Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information
The EC50-values for inhibition of the monocotyledon Lemna gibba after 7 daysspecific growth rate (ErC50) and dry weight inhibition of growth rate (ErdwC50) were both > 400 mg/L.
Key value for chemical safety assessment
- EC50 for freshwater plants:
- 400 mg/L
- EC10 or NOEC for freshwater plants:
- 50 mg/L
Additional information
The effects of test item Reactive Brown DYHY 0331/0334 on the growth of the monocotyledon species Lemna gibbawas determined according to the principles of OECD 221.
A semi-static exposure over 7 days was carried out. Based on a preliminary test 5 nominal test item concentration levels were tested in a geometrical series with a dilution factor of 2:25.0 - 50.0 - 100 - 200 - 400 mg/L. Three replicates were investigated for each test concentration and six for the control. Frond numbers were assessed on days 0, 2, 5 and 7. Environmental parameters (light, pH and temperature) were within the acceptable limits. The validity criteria of the test guideline were fulfilled.
The concentrations of the test item Reactive Brown DYHY 0331 / 0334, and the control were analysed via HPLC-DAD at the beginning and end of the exposure from fresh and old media on every renewal day. The measured concentrations of Reactive Brown DYHY 0331 / 0334 in the fresh and old test media were in the range of 95 to 104 % and 84 to 106 % of the nominal values, respectively. All effect values are given based on nominal test item concentration.
