First-aid measures
Description of first aid measures
General information
Get medical attention if any discomfort continues.
Inhalation
Move the exposed person to fresh air at once. Perform artificial respiration if breathing has stopped. Get medical attention if any
discomfort continues.
Ingestion
DO NOT INDUCE VOMITING! NEVER MAKE AN UNCONSCIOUS PERSON VOMIT OR DRINK FLUIDS! Immediately rinse mouth and
provide fresh air. Get medical attention if any discomfort continues.
Skin contact
Remove affected person from source of contamination. Remove contaminated clothing. Wash skin thoroughly with soap and water. Get
medical attention if any discomfort continues.
Eye contact
Make sure to remove any contact lenses from the eyes before rinsing. Promptly wash eyes with plenty of water while lifting the eye lids.
Continue to rinse for at least 15 minutes. Get medical attention if any discomfort continues.
Most important symptoms and effects, both acute and delayed
General information
The severity of the symptoms described will vary dependant of the concentration and the length of exposure.
Indication of any immediate medical attention and special treatment needed
No specific first aid measures noted.
Fire-fighting measures
Extinguishing media
Extinguish with foam, carbon dioxide or dry powder.
Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture
Hazardous combustion products
During fire, toxic gases (CO, CO2) are formed. Oxides of: Sulphur.
Unusual Fire & Explosion Hazards
No unusual fire or explosion hazards noted.
Specific hazards
Toxic gases/vapours/fumes of: Carbon monoxide (CO). Carbon dioxide (CO2). Sulphurous gases (SOx).
Advice for firefighters
Special Fire Fighting Procedures
No specific fire fighting procedure given.
Protective equipment for fire-fighters
Self contained breathing apparatus and full protective clothing must be worn in case of fire.
Accidental release measures
Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures
Wear protective clothing as described in Section 8 of this safety data sheet.
Environmental precautions
Collect and dispose of spillage as indicated in section 13. The product should not be dumped in nature but collected and delivered
according to agreement with the local authorities.
Methods and material for containment and cleaning up
Avoid generation and spreading of dust. Remove spillage with vacuum cleaner. If not possible, collect spillage with shovel, broom or the
like. Ensure that waste and contaminated materials are collected and removed from the work area as soon as possible in a suitably labelled
container. Do not contaminate water sources or sewer.
Handling and storage
Precautions for safe handling
Avoid spilling, skin and eye contact. Avoid handling which leads to dust formation.
Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities
Store in tightly closed original container in a dry, cool and well-ventilated place. Keep separate from food, feedstuffs, fertilisers and other
sensitive material.
Storage Class
Miscellaneous hazardous material storage.

Exposure controls / personal protection
1. Technical protection measures
No exposure limits noted for ingredient(s).
Use engineering controls to reduce air contamination to permissible exposure level.
Provide adequate general and local exhaust ventilation.
2. Organisational protection measures
Wash hands at the end of each work shift and before eating, smoking and using the toilet.
3. Hand protection
For prolonged or repeated skin contact use suitable protective gloves.
4. Feet protection
No specific measures
5. Body protection
Wear appropriate clothing to prevent any possibility of skin contact.
6. Eye protection
Wear approved safety goggles. Provide eyewash station and safety shower.
7. Respiratory protection
Wear suitable respiratory protection.
Stability and reactivity
Reactivity
There are no known reactivity hazards associated with this product.
Chemical stability
Stable under normal temperature conditions and recommended use.
Possibility of hazardous reactions
Not determined.
Hazardous Polymerisation
Will not polymerise.
Conditions to avoid
Avoid exposure to high temperatures or direct sunlight.
Incompatible materials
Materials To Avoid
Strong oxidising substances. Strong reducing agents. Strong acids. Strong alkalis.
Hazardous decomposition products
During fire, toxic gases (CO, CO2) are formed. Sulphurous gases (SOx).
Disposal considerations
General information
When handling waste, consideration should be made to the safety precautions applying to handling of the product.
Waste treatment methods
Dispose of waste and residues in accordance with local authority requirements. With clean shovel place material into dry container, cover
and move.
