EC10 or NOEC for freshwater algae:
108.41 mg/L

Additional information

Prediction model based estimation of of short term toxicity to aquatic invertebrates was performed. The summary is as mentioned below:

Based on the QSAR prediction done using the EPI Suite ECOSAR version 1.10, the NOEC was estimated to be 108.41mg/l when 8-[(p-aminophenyl)azo]-7-hydroxy-2-naphthyl]trimethylammonium chloride tested on Green Algae.

The Effect concentration (EC50) for the test compound Basic Blue 16 (CAS no 26381 -41 -9) in a 72h study using green algae Desmodesmus subspicatus is found to be 243.702758789 mg/L.

Though the chemical Basic brown 16 (CAS no 26381 -41 -9) is not readily biodegradable but it has a BCF < 500 and hence the chemical is likely to be "not classified" for aquatic classification as per CLP criteria.
