Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

PNEC freshwater sediment:

Koc = 233 (calculated)

K_(susp-water) = 6.72

RHO_(susp) = 1150

Conversion factor (wwt -> dwt): 4.6

PNEC_freshwater sediment = (K_(susp-water)/ RHO_(susp))*PNEC_water * 1000

= (6.72/1150)* 0.0067 *1000

= 0.03915 mg/kg wwt

= 0.1801 mg/kg dwt

PNEC marine water sediment:

Koc=233 (calculated)

K_(susp-water) = 6.72

RHO_(susp) = 1150

Conversion factor (wwt -> dwt): 4.6

PNEC_marine water sediment = (K_(susp-water)/ RHO_(susp))*PNEC_marine water* 1000

= (6.72/1150)*0.00067* 1000

= 0.003915 mg/kg wwt

= 0.001801 mg/kg dwt

PNEC soil:

Koc=233 (calculated)

K_(soil-water) = 7.18

RHO_(soil) = 1700

Conversion factor (wwt -> dwt): 1.13

PNEC_soil = (K_(soil-water)/ RHO_(soil))*PNEC_water * 1000

= (7.18/1700)* 0.0067* 1000

= 0.0283 mg/kg wwt

= 0.032 mg/kg dwt

Conclusion on classification

The LC/EC50 values of the test substance were determined to be 6.7 mg/L in a 96 h acute fish toxicity test, 27.1 mg/L in a 48 h toxicity test with daphnia and 24.1 mg/L in a 72-hours toxicity test with algae. Based on these values and taking into account the ready biodegradability of the test item, it does not meet the criteria for classification as given in Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 as amended for the sixth time in Regulation EC 605/2014 or in Directive 67/548/EEC as amended for the 31st time in Directive 2009/2/EG. Therefore it is not to be classified for acute or chronic aquatic toxicity.
