Calibration and accuracy

The measured value with n-undecane after correction for atmospheric pressure was 70.9°C.

This value is within the acceptance limits.

The accuracy of the method varies according to the flash point range used. The maximum estimated accuracy is ±2°C.

The estimated accuracy of the manometer ± 0.1 kPa.

Flash point of test substance

The determination of the flash point of the test substance was carried out in duplicate.

- first result : 111.1°C

- second result:            111.1°C

- atmospheric pressure : 102.2kPa

- corrected flash point  : 110.9°C

This means that the flash point of the test substance is 111°C.

Conclusions:
The flash point of citraconic anhydride is 111°C.
Executive summary:

The flash point of citraconic anhydride was determined in duplo according to toEC Regulation No 440/2008, Guideline A.9 , and according to ASTM D93 and in accordance with European Chemicals Agency (ECHA), Guidance on information requirements and chemical safety assessment, Chapter R.7a, Endpoint specific guidance, May 2008 .

The flash point of citraconic anhydride is 111°C.
