Description of key information

OBSH is non-flammable. Ignition temperature was established to 530 degrees celcius

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Flammability:
non flammable

Additional information

OBSH was tested for flammability by challenging the substance with a burning cigarette and burning match. The substance did not develop a visible flame, but smoke developed. It can therefore be concluded that OBSH is non-flammable. Flammability was additionally analysed using Godbert-Greenwald furnace, and ignition temperature was established to 530 degrees celcius

Justification for classification or non-classification

As OBSH showed not to develop visible flame under the challenge of a burning cigarette or a burning match, and ignition temperature was established to 530 degrees celcius, the substance should not be classified as flammable.
