Endpoint:
oxidising liquids
Data waiving:
study technically not feasible
Justification for data waiving:
the study does not need to be conducted because the substance is a solid
Endpoint:
oxidising gases
Data waiving:
study technically not feasible
Justification for data waiving:
the study does not need to be conducted because the substance is a solid
Endpoint:
oxidising solids
Data waiving:
study scientifically not necessary / other information available
Justification for data waiving:
the study does not need to be conducted because the inorganic substance does not contain any oxygen or halogen atoms and hence, the classification procedure does not need to be applied

Description of key information

According to Annex VII section 7.13, Column 2 of regulation (EC) 1907/2006 the study does not need to be conducted for inorganic substances not containing oxygen or halogen atoms. This argument applies to sodium azide.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Oxidising properties:
non oxidising
