Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Experimental vapour pressure determined over range 48.3-76.0°C enabled to derive a regression equation.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Vapour pressure:
0.01 Pa
at the temperature of:
30 °C

Additional information

Equation: log p vs 1/T, Slope -4182.2117, Intercept 11.8040. By extrapolation outside the experimental range, this notably gives 0.00345 Pa at 20°C and 0.0102 at 30°C.

For the purpose of inhalative exposure assessment:

- the key value has been chosen at 30°C because there is a change in ECETOC-TRA volatility band (cut-off 0.01 Pa between bands "negligible" and "low") at 29.9°C

- the next change in volatility band ("low" -> "medium") occurs at ~186°C, which is far above the decomposition temperature (>160°C, see Boiling point): this evidences that ECETOC-TRA estimates will be conservative whatever the use temperature.
