Description of key information
There is an 28 -day repeated dose OECD guideline 407 GLP compliant study with rats on 3,5,5-trimethylhexanal available in a disseminated Dossier on the ECHA website for a full registration. After a mortality related dose reduction to 250 mg/kg bw, there were no adverse effects observed in the high-dose group, resulting in an NOAEL of 250 mg/kg bw. Therefore, the substance was not classified for specific organ toxicity after repeated exposure under Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 (CLP)
