Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Short-term aquatic toxicity tests investigating the whole substance were conducted with fish (Oncorhynchus mykiss), invertebrates (Daphnia magna) and algae (Desmodesmus subspicatus). The relevant short-term effect concentration values are:

Fish: LL50(96 h): 18 mg/L nominal loading rate concentration or LC506.8 mg/L geometric mean measured concentration;

Daphnia: EL50(48 h): 35 mg/L nominal loading rate concentration or EC5014 mg/L geometric mean measured concentration;

Algae: EL50(72 h): >180 mg/L nominal loading rate concentration or EC50>34 mg/L geometric mean measured concentration; NOEL: 80 mg/L nominal loading rate concentration or NOEC 18 mg/L geometric mean measured concentration.

Measured data for the registered substance are taken into consideration for overall hazard classification but due to the UVCB nature of the substance, these are not useful for the purposes of toxicity (‘T’) assessment or for setting PNECs for environmental risk characterisation.
